University of Exeter
INDEX is research centre in the University of Exeter Business School. Our London-based multidisciplinary faculty works closely with private and public organisations to understand, challenge, and create new value in the Digital Age.
Our multidisciplinary team looks at the coalescing of data with value, and its implication upon individuals, organisations, innovation and society. Our team brings together computer science, social science and engineering design perspectives.
Through deep engagement, we develop research and teaching of relevance and impact across industry and government. We provide practical insights and measurable impact to organisations looking to address the effects of digital disruption and to take operational advantage of the emerging digital economy.
The University of Exeter’s contribution to the Digital Sandwich project will include research into the impacts of digital technology on food supply chain behaviour. In line with the Digital Sandwich project’s overall goals of increasing resilience and improving performance, the Exeter team is examining how food supply chain performance is affected by changes in information sharing, transparency, risk acceptance, trust levels, and other known characteristics among members of the chain.
